Hello my Friend!...
I'm so glad you're here. I wanted to apologise for the slight blip in last week's newsletter. Turns out a few people got a version on Monday and then again on Thursday. I am very sorry - some form of tech gremlins got into the system.
Now onto this week - and as always, I'm sharing some reflections and resources that have been illuminating the path of me and Alchemists. We share these with the hope they'll shine a light on yours too.
Let's explore together! |

In Modality Moments, we introduce you to a unique modality each week, sharing its significance, why it’s worth exploring in our Wellness Wiki, and a personal insight to inspire your journey. |

Movement and Expressive Modalities |
This week's Modality Moment invites you to explore the transformative power of Movement and Expressive modalities, which utilise physical movement and creative expression to enhance emotional expression, self-awareness, and overall well-being. Engaging in these practices can provide a profound way to connect with our inner selves and foster healing.
Movement modalities, such as dance therapy and somatic practices, allow individuals to express emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally. These forms of movement help release tension and promote a deeper understanding of how emotions manifest in the body. Similarly, expressive arts therapies—encompassing art, music, and drama—invite participants to explore their feelings through creativity, offering a safe space for self-discovery and healing.
At Alchemy of Being, we believe in the healing potential of these modalities. While they may not resonate with everyone, we encourage you to explore how movement and creative expression can enrich your emotional well-being and deepen your connection with yourself. Nicky Herringshaw – Theory in Action |
When life throws a curveball, even the most seasoned Alchemists turn to their toolbelt. This week, I asked Nicky Herringshaw to share how she uses her tools in real time. Her response came at an interesting moment—her neck had completely locked up, forcing her to put her own teachings into practice.
Nicky’s toolbelt is as varied as it is effective. To address the immediate issue, she reached out for support: Mole performed a Body Code session, and she visited a friend specialising in fascia release. She also turned inward, using NLP techniques to calm herself when panic set in and incorporating Havening for additional emotional regulation.
But what stood out most was how she approached the situation mentally and emotionally. Instead of pushing through or falling into fear about cancelling three days of clinic appointments, Nicky prioritised her health and trusted that things would work themselves out. She also recognised an old tendency to slip into victimhood and consciously chose to shift her mindset, focusing instead on action and resolution.
Her best piece of advice? Recognise that rest is not just important—it’s essential. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is pause, reset, and trust the process. |

The Universe Within |
This image encapsulates a core principle of quantum physics: interconnectedness.
It reminds us that we are not separate from the cosmos, but rather integral parts of it. The more we are connected to everything, the more we can be ourselves.
At The Alchemy of Being, we encourage you to explore this profound truth through practices like meditation, nature connection, and mindful awareness. The more you realize your connection to everything, the easier it is to live a more empowered life. |
