Charlotte's Favourite Reset |
When life starts to feel overwhelming, the key for me is to step out of my head and into my body - to find a way to shift my energy from worry or stress to something positive and uplifting. For me, that means heading outdoors with my dog, letting the fresh air and sunshine (if we’re lucky) work their magic, and soaking up the green surroundings as my dog bounds around with pure joy.
To really reset, I put on my favourite music, the kind that makes me want to sing at the top of my lungs and dance, even if it means getting a few odd looks from people in the park! Getting lost in the music, moving my body, and watching my dog’s happiness brings me back to the present moment and realigns my soul with joy. It’s a simple practice, but it never fails to bring my mind back to a positive state.
If you ever feel overwhelmed, try tuning into what moves your spirit - whether it’s music, nature, movement, or the company of a beloved pet. Sometimes the best reset comes from letting go and just being in the moment. |

Iridology |
Iridology is a fascinating way to explore health and wellbeing by looking at the unique patterns in the iris of the eye. For me, iridology has special meaning. It was my first introduction to alternative healing at age 17, while recovering from glandular fever. A homeopath trained in iridology examined my irises and pointed out digestive challenges. At the time, it was just an interesting observation, but years later, when I faced a serious health crisis that originated in my digestive system, I had to wonder if earlier action could have changed her journey.
Today, I keep an image of my iris at home as a reminder of iridology’s potential to spot imbalances before symptoms show up. By mapping the body onto the iris, iridologists can highlight areas of inflammation, toxicity, or dysfunction, offering a gentle, non-invasive way to support overall wellbeing. If you’re curious about new ways to understand your health, iridology could be a valuable tool in your toolbelt for life. |

Gregg Braden's "Human by Design" Course – Discover Your Extraordinary Potential |
If you’re looking for a fresh perspective on what it means to reset and realign, Gregg Braden’s “Human by Design” course is a brilliant resource. I’ve always loved how Gregg explains complex ideas in a way that just makes sense. My four days with him in Sedona in 2023 were truly life-changing, not just intellectually, as I learned more about the human brain, but experientially, as we practised breathwork and saw first-hand the power we all hold inside.
This course brings together the latest neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and practical techniques. Gregg explores topics like neuroplasticity, heart-brain coherence, and intuition, showing how simple shifts in mindset and daily habits can unlock your full potential. It’s a perfect fit for anyone who’s curious about the science behind practices like gratitude, meditation, and breathwork, all the things we’ve talked about this week.
If you’re ready to go deeper and explore what’s truly possible for you, Gregg Braden’s “Human by Design” is a fantastic next step. It’s not just about learning, it’s about experiencing your own capacity for transformation. |

'How Gratitude Rewires Your Brain'TED Talk |
Gratitude is a daily practice for me - I’ve been doing it for over 12 years, and it’s become as natural as breathing. Even on the toughest days, taking a moment to look for something positive shifts my mindset and helps me reset. It’s amazing how the smallest things, like a ray of sunshine or the wag of a dog’s tail, can change everything.
That’s why I’m sharing this TED Talk by psychologist Christina Costa: How Gratitude Rewires Your Brain. Christina’s story shows how gratitude isn’t just a nice idea, it actually changes the brain, building resilience and helping us move through life’s challenges. The science backs it up: a gratitude mindset can rewire your brain for the better.
If you’re curious about how something so simple can have such a big impact, give this talk a watch. And maybe try jotting down three things you’re grateful for today. You might be surprised by how quickly it shifts your perspective. |

The Beauty of Outgrowing |
I chose this image because it sums up exactly where I am right now. Growth often feels uncomfortable, but it’s a clear sign you’re stepping into the next version of yourself.
At The Alchemy of Being, we celebrate this process - outgrowing old patterns, beliefs, and even identities is all part of curating your unique toolbelt for life.
It’s not about losing who you were, but about consciously choosing who you are becoming. Trust that every step forward is perfectly timed, even if it feels uncertain. Embrace the journey. Your evolution is your masterpiece. Keep evolving. |
